Al Baraka Bank Announces Paid Internship Program in these 6 Pakistani Cities

Al Baraka Bank has announced the launch of its inclusive and forward-looking “Internship Program for PWD,” aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities by offering hands-on experience in the banking and finance sector. The program, which officially opened for applications on July 11, 2025, is set to place over 35 interns across key cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Peshawar.

The initiative is part of the bank’s broader commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and seeks to create meaningful professional development opportunities for individuals who are often underrepresented in the corporate sector. The internship program will run until the end of July, with the final date to submit applications being July 31, 2025.

According to the official statement, selected interns will be placed in various departments where they will actively contribute to ongoing projects, attend regular meetings, and collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines. The program has been structured to offer flexibility, access to assistive technologies, and an environment of continuous learning.

“The goal is not just to offer internships but to open doors for long-term growth and development for persons with disabilities,” a spokesperson for Al Baraka Bank said. “This initiative reflects our belief in creating an inclusive workspace where everyone has equal opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute.”

Interns will be trained to understand departmental goals, suggest process improvements, and stay updated on industry best practices. With a strong focus on real-world exposure, the program encourages multitasking, employee engagement, and vendor relations management—skills that are essential in the banking and finance sector.

The internship is open to individuals with a minimum educational qualification of Intermediate or A-Level, although students currently enrolled in bachelor’s programs are also encouraged to apply. The positions require no prior experience, making it an ideal opportunity for young, motivated individuals looking to step into the corporate world.

The internship is paid and falls within the functional area of Accounts, Finance, and Financial Services. Interested candidates can apply directly through the Al Baraka careers portal before the July 31 deadline.

By launching this initiative, Al Baraka Bank is taking a significant step towards fostering workplace inclusivity and setting a positive example for other financial institutions across the country.
