Ali Jehangir Siddiqui Addresses Yale Townhall on Pakistan’s Global Future

Ali Jehangir Siddiqui, former Pakistani Ambassador to the United States, participated in a panel discussion at Yale University’s Future of Pakistan Townhall, where he joined leading voices in diplomacy and global affairs to discuss Pakistan’s evolving role on the international stage.

The session was attended by Ivy League students, senior academics, and next-generation policymakers to discuss and explore key global diplomatic shifts and the future of U.S. foreign policy. Siddiqui emphasized the importance of building stronger, forward-looking Pakistan–U.S. strategic ties amid a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.

Highlighting the need for deeper civic participation and encouraging the youth to step up and represent Paksitan on global stage; Siddiqui noted, “The real issue is underrepresentation of Pakistani-Americans in public service. We must encourage young people to pursue careers in government, diplomacy, and policy.”

He further encouraged young individuals from the diaspora to actively contribute to public institutions and global dialogue, highlighting the importance of inclusive, long-term engagement in shaping national narratives.

The Future of Pakistan Townhall at Yale served as a platform for meaningful dialogue on governance, diplomacy, and the country’s future in a shifting global order.
