All You Need to Know about Azerbaijan Visit Visa for Pakistani Citizens

Azerbaijan is emerging as a favored destination for Pakistani tourists, with its stunning Caspian Sea coastline, majestic Caucasus Mountains, and a rich cultural heritage drawing thousands of visitors each year. Stretching across both Asia and Europe, the country offers a unique combination of natural beauty, historic landmarks, and modern attractions.

The capital city, Baku, has become a centerpiece of tourism. Known for its striking blend of futuristic architecture and centuries-old sites, visitors can explore the UNESCO-listed Old City (Icherisheher), marvel at the iconic Flame Towers, or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic Caspian Sea Boulevard.

Travel experts highlight that the best times to visit Azerbaijan are in May and September. May offers mild temperatures and colorful spring landscapes, making it ideal for hiking in the mountains, while September combines warm days with early autumn hues and traditional harvest festivals across the country.

Visa Requirements and Fees
To facilitate growing tourism, Azerbaijan has introduced a streamlined online visa service for Pakistani citizens. The Azerbaijan visit visa is available in two categories: Standard and Urgent.

  • The standard visit visa (single-entry, valid for 30 days) costs $20 (around Rs. 5,560), with an additional $5 (around Rs. 1,390) service fee. Processing typically takes three to five working days.
  • The urgent visit visa is priced at $50 (around Rs. 13,900) and is processed within three to five hours.

Application Process
Pakistani applicants can apply through the official ASAN Visa system (evisa.gov.az), which involves three simple steps. The e-visa remains valid for 90 days, allowing a maximum stay of 30 days. However, entry may still be denied under conditions set forth in Azerbaijan’s Migration Code.

With simplified visa procedures and diverse travel experiences to offer, Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its position as a leading international destination for Pakistani tourists.
