Analysts predict that the ‘Apple Car’ will not have a steering wheel

According to Morgan Stanley automotive experts, the fully autonomous “Apple Car” — which would presumably lack a steering wheel — may be a big competitor to Tesla and other electric vehicle manufacturers.

Morgan Stanley Auto & Expressed Mobility analyst Adam Jones shared his opinions on the ramifications of Apple’s foray into the car business in a note to investors.

Jones, for example, emphasises Apple’s alleged $3.6 billion investment. That’s “a lot of money to put into one car manufacturing,” according to Jones, who also points out that Apple’s investment appears to represent the lion’s share.

Users who expect a standard vehicle experience should reconsider their expectations. Jones warned, “Don’t anticipate steering wheels.”

According to the analyst, the Apple Car is a serious competitor to Tesla. “At some time, today’s EV companies must share the sandbox,” Jones adds, despite the fact that the established electric carmaker may introduce dozens of new vehicles before Apple makes it to market.
