According to the media reports, Apple will soon buy Tesla batteries for the solar farm located in California which will also be used to power up the company’s corporate headquarters that is in Cupertino.
The Apple solar farm will have 85 Tesla lithium-ion batteries megapacks, as per the official sources.
However, this new setup will be able to store over 240 MW- hours of the energy as it has been approved last year by Monterey County Board of the Supervisors.
The report also says that “The planning chief of Monterey Country also confirmed that the Apple will use Tesla batteries for their solar farm.”
