Apple Might Cut iPhone Shipments by 10% Due to Chip Shortage: Foxconn

Due to a chip shortage, Apple could have development issues with the iPhone 12 series. The iPhone 12 series has become extremely popular, and it is currently one of the most in-demand smartphones on the market. Apple’s iPhone 12 series sales boosted the company’s market share and enabled it to surpass Samsung, propelling Apple to the top of the list and making it the world’s largest mobile provider last year.

Samsung has reclaimed the top rank in the world, displacing Apple to second place.

Foxconn has announced that the company’s iPhone production will be halted due to a chip shortage. Foxconn is Apple’s biggest supply chain partner and a major player in the iPhone’s manufacturing and assembly. Foxconn’s founder, Liu Yangwei, has confirmed that the company remains highly positive about the rest of the year’s outlook.

While Apple is not mentioned in the statement, it is the company’s largest customer. Furthermore, according to the firm, “it has a relatively small effect on orders obtained a long time ago.”
