Arab’s First Female Astronaut Shared Visuals of Masjid al-Haram from Space

Saudi Arabia’s first Arab female astronaut, Rayyanah Bernawi, shared scenes of the Masjid al-Haram from Space.

Recently, the US-based company Axiom Space sent a mission to Saudi Arabia to the ISS, which consists of a total of 4 people.

Ali al-Qarani, Peggy Whitson and John Schaffner are part of the mission along with Saudi Arabia’s Rayyanah Barnawi.

With this mission, researcher Rihanna Bernawi has become the first Arab woman to travel to space, the private space mission will spend a week on the International Space Station.

During the mission yesterday, Saudi astronaut Rianna Bernawi shared a video of the Masjid al-Haram from space.

In the video shared on Twitter by Rayyanah barnawi, it can be seen that the Mosque of Haram appears to be bright in the darkness seen on the ground below space.

“After completing our experiment today, we passed over Makkah, which is quite bright,” Saudi astronaut Rayyanah Barnawi wrote alongside the video.

In the video, Rayyanah Barnawi can also be heard saying that all this is shining, that is our Masjid al-Haram.
