Aseefa Bhutto to Become ‘First Lady of Pakistan’

Aseefa Bhutto, the daughter of President Asif Ali Zardari, is set to take on the role of Pakistan’s First Lady, as confirmed by PPP Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi. The president discussed this decision with party leaders before finalizing it.

Aseefa’s active participation in the PPP’s election campaigns and her prominent presence in various rallies have contributed to her prominence. Notably, President Zardari, who has been a widower since the tragic death of Benazir Bhutto in 2007, has chosen his daughter to assume the position of the first lady.

This decision reflects similar occurrences in Pakistan and other countries, where widower-presidents have appointed daughters or other relatives to the role.
