Pakistan’s renowned batsman, Babar Azam, wrapped up his stellar performance in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as the highest run-scorer of the tournament.
Playing for Rangpur Riders, the 29-year-old recently concluded his last match in the competition. In this final game against Durdanto Dhaka, Babar showcased his batting prowess by contributing 47 runs from 43 balls, aiding his team in achieving a total score of 175/4.
Throughout the tournament, spanning six innings, Babar accumulated an impressive total of 251 runs, maintaining an excellent average of 50.20. His remarkable performance included two half-centuries, with a strike rate of 114.61.
After completing their engagements in Bangladesh, Babar Azam and other Pakistani players have returned home after receiving No Objection Certificates (NOCs) until February 6. They are now focusing on preparing for the upcoming season nine of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
