As Australia prepares for a potential semi-final battle with Pakistan at the Twenty20 World Cup this week, Coach Justin Langer feels his team can re-establish itself as the greatest in the world.
On Saturday, David Warner’s unbeaten 89 guided the Australians to an eight-wicket triumph over the West Indies, securing second place in Group 1 of the competition’s Super 12 phase.
“We were the best team in the world not long ago, and some of that cricket indicates we can be the best team in the world again,” Langer told reporters.
“I believe England is currently leading the way, and we have fantastic prospects. We’re learning a lot from this competition about how we can play T20 cricket now and in the future “He went on to say more.
Pakistan has dominated Group 1 thus far, winning all four matches, and Langer is looking forward to the encounter in Dubai.
