Babar Azam, who leads the Peshawar Zalmi team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), received a special gift from team owner Javed Afridi to acknowledge his outstanding performance in the 2024 season.
Javed Afridi took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a photo of Babar happily sitting inside his brand-new car.
During the 2024 PSL season, Babar proved to be the top scorer, hitting an impressive total of 569 runs in 11 matches. His batting average was an impressive 56.90, and he achieved this with five half-centuries and one century to his credit.
Despite high hopes for the Zalmi team to win the tournament, they faced disappointment when they were knocked out in both knockout games against the Multan Sultans and Islamabad United.
It’s important to mention that Babar is currently leading the Pakistan team in the ongoing five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
