In a post-match interview, Babar Azam highlighted that the bowlers struggled to take wickets during the middle overs, which proved costly for Pakistan. He stated, “If you are not good in even one department, then you’ll lose the game.”
Babar credited Afghanistan for their victory and acknowledged that Pakistan needs to perform better in the next game, learning from their mistakes. He emphasized that the team struggled with the lengths of their deliveries, especially in the middle overs, which resulted in conceding boundaries regularly.
