Babar Azam Reveals the Reason of Pakistan Loss Against Afghanistan in World Cup

Pakistan’s men’s cricket team captain, Babar Azam, expressed disappointment with his team’s performance, stating that the bowlers were not up to par after suffering their third consecutive defeat in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023.

The Men in Green faced an eight-wicket loss at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, putting their chances of qualifying for the knockout stage in jeopardy.

In a post-match interview, Babar Azam highlighted that the bowlers struggled to take wickets during the middle overs, which proved costly for Pakistan. He stated, “If you are not good in even one department, then you’ll lose the game.”

Babar credited Afghanistan for their victory and acknowledged that Pakistan needs to perform better in the next game, learning from their mistakes. He emphasized that the team struggled with the lengths of their deliveries, especially in the middle overs, which resulted in conceding boundaries regularly.
