For the first time in its history, Balochistan has announced a budget worth over Rs. 1 trillion. The total budget for 2025-26 is Rs. 1,028 billion, with a surplus of Rs. 42 billion. This major step was revealed by Finance Minister Mir Shuaib Noshirovani during a session of the Balochistan Assembly.
He proudly stated that the current year’s development budget had been fully used a sign of better planning and delivery. The new budget focuses on improving the lives of ordinary citizens, especially in areas that have long been ignored.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that the budget is based on a people-first approach. It gives top priority to health, education, and long-term development. He made it clear that the government will not allow any projects driven by political pressure or personal interest.
The chief minister added that fairness and transparency will be ensured in spending. Every district, including remote and backward regions, will get its fair share of resources. The goal is to promote equal development and reduce the gap between rich and poor areas.
