Ban Imposed on Barbecues, Bonfires after Fire Breaks Out in Margalla Hills

A fire broke out in the Margalla Hills, and the Islamabad administration quickly sent more than 50 firefighters to bring the flames under control. The fire caused serious concern because of the dry weather and the risk it poses to nature and wildlife in the area.

To avoid more fires, authorities have imposed Section 144. This means activities like barbecues, bonfires, and lighting open flames are now banned across the Margalla Hills. The ban was announced shortly after Eid-ul-Azha when many people visited the area, increasing the chances of human negligence causing fires.

Officials are now warning people to be extra careful during their visits. The fire not only threatens the greenery and beautiful scenery of the hills but also puts wild animals at great risk. Forests in dry weather are already vulnerable, and even a small spark can turn into a huge disaster.

The public is being urged to follow the new rules strictly. Anyone caught breaking them will face legal action. Authorities have also advised visitors to avoid carrying anything that could cause a fire and to report any signs of smoke immediately to emergency services.

This situation highlights the need for responsible behavior from all citizens. Protecting the environment and the wildlife that lives in it is a shared duty. The Islamabad administration is working hard to keep the Margalla Hills safe, but they need the public’s support to prevent future incidents.
