Bangladesh Air Force to Receive Pilot, Technician Training from Pakistan

Pakistan and Bangladesh are set to strengthen their defense cooperation, as Bangladesh has requested Pakistan’s assistance in training its fighter pilots and technical staff. This step comes as both countries aim to improve their military collaboration and share expertise.

Under the agreement, experienced Pakistani instructors will provide advanced training in fighter conversion, aerial combat tactics, and aircraft maintenance. The training will cover modern fighter jets and technical systems, helping Bangladeshi pilots and technicians improve their skills.

Pakistani trainers are renowned for their expertise in both Chinese and Western aviation technology, which has instilled confidence in this programme in Bangladesh.

The plan was discussed during recent high-level meetings between defence officials of both countries. Both sides agreed in principle to move forward, and a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is expected to be signed soon.

This initiative highlights the growing defence partnership between Pakistan and Bangladesh and reflects a mutual trust in each other’s operational capabilities. It will not only enhance the skills of Bangladesh’s Air Force personnel but also strengthen strategic ties between the two nations.

The programme is seen as a positive step in regional defence collaboration, showing that Pakistan’s expertise can support neighbouring countries in building stronger and more capable armed forces.

This training initiative is likely to benefit both nations and improve cooperation in the coming years.
