Bangladesh’s Former Cricket Tamim Iqbal Suffer Heart Attack During Match

Former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal suffered a heart attack while playing in a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) match in Savar on Monday.

The 35-year-old retired cricketer, who was leading his team, Mohammedan Sporting Club, started feeling chest pain during the first innings of the match. Realizing that something was wrong, he was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Doctors quickly performed an emergency angioplasty procedure to remove a blockage in one of his heart arteries. Initially, Tamim was taken to KPJ Specialised Hospital, where medical tests confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack.

Fortunately, his condition is now stable, and he is currently under medical observation to ensure his recovery. The news has come as a shock to fans and the cricketing community, as Tamim had only recently announced his retirement from international cricket earlier in 2025.

His teammates, fans, and well-wishers are hoping for his quick and full recovery so that he can regain his health soon.
