Banks in Pakistan Serving Customers Poorly by making them Stand Outside in the Blazing Sun in the Name of SOPs

During the month of Ramadan, the banking hours for public dealing reduced due to which long queues have been observed in front of almost each branch of the bank. The timings from Monday to Friday were scheduled from 10am to 1:30pm and for Friday, 10am to 1pm.

Meanwhile, people during these office hours gathered together outside the banks to wait for their turn to get inside. The banks’ management and security standing outside the bank failed to manage the individuals and for managing them to follow SOPs by wearing masks or maintaining social distance from each other.

The people are facing difficulties in standing outside the bank in long queues while having a fast of Ramadan.

However, these banks not only lack in managing the long queues yet they stopped the individuals for making transactions due to not following SOPs. People rushed towards banks due to limited time slots available but Banks are preventing the people from withdrawing their money due to SOPs precautions, stated by official source.

Eid is around the corner and people are rushing towards banks to withdraw their money but many are facing the issue regarding cash withdrawal not only from bank but most of the ATM machines are also out of cash.

One major issue is also identified that most the banks serving only one cashier counter actively so people standing in queue have to stand long in scorching heat waiting for their turns and sometimes the time gets over and they have to arrive back the next day.

We’re not clear that it’s done intentionally or its because of the restrictions, these issue are highlighted majorly in the main cities like Karachi and Islamabad.

Moreover, according to the official sources, during the time of Pandemic the behavior of most the Pakistanis seem careless as they intentionally do not wear mask or maintain any social distance and blames the authorities for increasing number of coronavirus cases.
