Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Stipend Increased for School Students. Here’s Details.

The Benazir Taleemi Wazaif, a financial support initiative aimed at promoting education in Pakistan, is set to increase its stipends starting in January 2025. This program is expected to benefit over 6 million students nationwide, making education more accessible for families in need.

Under this initiative, financial support will be directed to mothers of children enrolled in schools from nursery through Grade 12. To qualify for these stipends, parents must register with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).

The stipends will vary based on the educational level of the child. Students in primary education will receive Rs 2,000, while those in secondary education will get Rs 3,000. For higher secondary education, the stipend is set at Rs 3,500. In addition, mothers will receive an extra Rs 3,000 upon their child’s successful completion of primary education.

To be eligible for this support, mothers must enroll in the BISP Kafalat program. There are specific age requirements for children’s enrollment: 4 to 12 years for primary education, 8 to 18 years for secondary education, and 13 to 22 years for higher secondary education.

This increase in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif stipends represents a significant step toward improving educational opportunities for children across Pakistan.
