Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and foreign minister, on Wednesday, laid the cornerstone for the Health City and Pharmaceutical Unit at the Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences in Gambat, Khairpur district, as well as for the Lungs Care Center and Lung Transplant Unit.
The first health city in the nation will include amenities, including cutting-edge medical tourism and lodging for carers who accompany patients.Bilawal also set the cornerstone for a project involving the pharmaceutical business. Afterwards, he also went to other locations within the lung transplant centre.
According to PPP Chairperson, Sindh boasts a state-of-the-art medical infrastructure significantly superior to other provinces. He claimed that Gambat Institute, where patients from neighbouring regions, Azad Jammu, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, come for free treatment, is genuinely a national institution.
According to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, individuals no longer need to travel to India for costly renal and liver treatments because Gambat now offers these services.
Ministers from the federal and provincial governments, MPs, party officials, and the chief minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, were also present.
In addition, Bilawal visited the Lung Transplant Unit and laid the foundation for a pharmaceutical industry effort.
The PPP Chairman noted that Sindh has a top-notch medical infrastructure that performs better than other provinces. He added that the Gambat Institute is a national organisation that provides free medical care to people from Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and other areas.
