Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his Indian counterpart did not shake hands during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Foreign Ministers’ meeting. Instead, Jaishankar folded both of his hands and said, “Namaste,” to which the Foreign Minister likewise reacted in the same way
In Goa, the foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari spoke at a press conference and fielded questions. In response to a query, he stated that since the Indian Minister should be questioned, I have no issue shaking hands with the Indian Foreign Minister on camera.
He claimed that the way the greeting was delivered was the same way that people in Multan and Sindh greeted one another, and that it made him happy that we had done so.
