According to IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to preliminary information, the blast was suicide.
He added that the suspect blew himself up during the search.
According to details, additional SHO Adnan Afridi was martyred, and others were seriously injured in the blast in Ali Masjid area of Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The police also confirmed that the additional SHO was martyred.
Rescue teams have been dispatched to the scene, police said.
On the other hand, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
