Organizers have announced that the Ronaldinho Global Street League is set to commence in the latter part of 2023.
The competition will kick off with a social media audition process, where street soccer players of all age groups can upload their finest skills and tricks in order to be considered for a place in one of the league’s teams.
Major cities around the globe will host head-to-head matches and skills competitions as part of the Ronaldinho Global Street League.
Teams will participate in a league to contend for the title of “RGSL Champions” and earn a spot in the Ronaldinho Globe Street Team.
“We believe there is massive value in the space — and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to support the players of the future,” Ronaldinho said in announcing the venture.
No details have been provided about the exact start date or the location of the events for the Ronaldinho Global Street League.
The league has been founded by two-time world player of the year Ronaldinho, along with former player and sports agent Roberto de Assis Moreira, and Sophie Watts, who co-founded Mike Tyson’s Legends League.
