After a 10-year hiatus, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has restored water supplies to 300 low-income dwellings in Sector G-7/3.
According to the information, people who have been fighting for the restoration of water service for nearly a decade have breathed a sigh of relief after having to rely on private water tankers at expensive costs.
“They have been facing significant issues due to the lack of water supplies in the area,” said Raja Rab Nawaz, a resident. Now, the civic agency has recognised their plight and is taking action to remedy it.”
A few years ago, the CDA launched a proposal including Rs495 million for several water delivery projects. These projects comprised the repair and maintenance of water pipelines, tube wells, tankers, as well as the replacement and installation of equipment.
