China’s Premier Li Qiang announced at the ongoing China Development Forum that 2025 could mark the start of mass-produced robots in China.
With industrial robot output hitting 466,000 units (up 13.3%) and service robots reaching 8.712 million units (up 18%) in 2024, the stage is set for explosive growth.
A Morgan Stanley report reveals that over the past five years, China has filed 5,688 patent applications for humanoid robots, accounting for 38% of the global total, far surpassing the United States and Japan.
Sectorwise, smarter, cheaper robots will transform homes, elderly care, education, and entertainment. The future is here!
