China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported that in the first three quarters of 2023, the sales volume of new energy vehicles in China reached 6.278 million, marking a 37.5% increase compared to the previous year. These new energy vehicles now make up 29.8% of total new car sales.
In 2022, China achieved sales of 6.887 million new energy vehicles, showcasing a remarkable 93.4% increase. This continued to maintain China’s position as the world leader in new energy vehicle sales for eight consecutive years.
