CM KPK Serves Worth Rs. 11 Crore Biscuits to Guests, Really?

A recent social media rumor claiming that Rs. 110 million was spent on biscuits at the Chief Minister’s House in KP has sparked public outrage and widespread discussion online. However, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has stepped forward to clear the air.

During a meeting in Peshawar with members of the PTI social media team, Gandapur strongly denied the claims, calling them baseless and misleading. He clarified that the Rs. 110 million being circulated was not for biscuits but the total annual operating budget of the Chief Minister’s House.

According to Gandapur, most of this amount is used for providing meals to class four government employees. In the past, these workers had to bear their own food expenses, but now the government has taken on this responsibility.

He also noted that other provinces have significantly higher budgets for their official residences Punjab’s stands at around Rs. 2 billion, and Sindh’s at Rs. 1 billion.

Gandapur urged the PTI media team to highlight the government’s actual work and counter false accusations being spread by political opponents.

He also addressed other criticisms, including allegations of holding private meetings and not using official helicopters. He responded by saying the government’s helicopter is now assigned for public service and not for his personal travel.

No official records support the claim that Rs. 110 million was spent on snacks for guests. The Chief Minister has labeled the biscuit story as a political stunt and emphasized transparency in spending.
