Chief Minister Parvez Elahi on Tuesday approved the introduction of cyber-knife technology in Jinnah Hospital (Lahore) and Nishtar Hospital (Multan).
It is used to treat cancer shortly and other complex diseases free of cost.
Furthermore, Doctors will be given training regarding this treatment.
The CyberKnife System is the first and only fully robotic radiotherapy device.
CyberKnife uses an approach called stereotactic body radiation therapy (SRS SBRT), delivering precise doses of radiation with extreme accuracy — and accounting for a tumor or patient movement in real-time.
