CM Punjab Claims 1 Million Jobs Created in 2025 Alone

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that nearly 994,036 jobs and employment opportunities have been created across the province since February 2024.

She said these numbers show the government’s strong focus on improving employment and supporting economic growth in Punjab.

According to the Chief Minister, 315,536 jobs were created through regular government hiring, institutional reforms, and the expansion of public services.

These include initiatives such as Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics, improvements in schools, and the Suthra Punjab programme. These projects not only improved services for citizens but also opened up new job positions in different sectors.

In addition, around 203,000 employment opportunities were generated through small and medium business support under the Asaan Karobar Finance scheme.

This program provided financial assistance to entrepreneurs and business owners, helping them expand their operations and hire more workers.

The government also created approximately 475,500 direct and indirect jobs through large development projects. These include housing schemes, road construction, and other infrastructure initiatives.

One of the major projects mentioned was the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme, which focuses on providing housing while boosting employment in construction and related industries.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that these combined efforts reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening the economy and creating sustainable job opportunities.

She added that the administration will continue working on development projects and business support programs to ensure more people across Punjab benefit from economic progress and stable employment in the future.
