In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at strengthening the agricultural sector in Pakistan, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the largest agricultural graduate internship program in the country’s history. The program was officially inaugurated at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, marking a significant step towards fostering young talent in the agricultural field.
The ambitious program will provide financial support and practical experience to 1,000 agriculture graduates. Each participant will receive a monthly scholarship of PKR 60,000, helping them transition into their professional careers while gaining essential hands-on experience in the industry. This initiative is designed to equip the next generation of agricultural professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to innovate and enhance productivity in the sector.
During the launch event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif personally distributed appointment letters to the selected graduates, symbolizing her commitment to empowering youth in agriculture. She engaged with the faculty and students at the University of Agriculture, discussing the merit-based selection process that led to the program’s participants.
