CM Sindh Offers Beaconhouse to Run Govt Schools

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has suggested that private education groups like Beaconhouse should help manage government schools through public-private partnerships. He said this approach could improve the quality of education and make better learning opportunities available to more students, especially in underserved areas.

He shared these views while speaking at Beaconhouse’s 50th anniversary celebration. During his address, the Chief Minister praised Beaconhouse for its remarkable journey, noting how it started as a small Montessori school and has grown into an international education network. Today, Beaconhouse educates more than 400,000 students across different countries, making it one of the largest school systems in the region.

Murad Ali Shah also paid tribute to the victims of the Gul Plaza incident, expressing solidarity with their families. He appreciated Beaconhouse’s role in promoting national unity and understanding, particularly through its folktale book titled Once Upon a Time, which highlights cultural diversity and shared values from across the country.

Leaders from Beaconhouse used the occasion to reaffirm their commitment to improving education standards. They spoke about ongoing efforts in teacher training, modern learning methods, sustainability, and social responsibility. One key initiative highlighted was the Green Pakistan project, under which Beaconhouse has distributed around 1.5 million saplings across the country to support environmental protection.
