CM Usman Buzdar Unveils Uplift Package for Multan Worth Rs.34Billion

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Monday, while unveiling a Rs34 billion development package for Multan, that today is a historic occasion because the foundation stone of the South Punjab Secretariat was laid, fulfilling the people’s long-standing demands.

“I am grateful to Prime Minister Imran Khan, and the South Punjab Secretariat in Multan will be established and completed on time. Similarly, the South Punjab Secretariat’s foundation stone will be laid soon in Bahawalpur. In the past, the people of South Punjab were held in poverty and deceived by fudge figures,” he said.

He also added that the use of the development budget in South Punjab was not more than 17 percent, but the incumbent government has allocated and ring-fenced 33 percent funds for Southern Punjab, he said at a ceremony in Multan to lay the foundation stone for the South Punjab Secretariat and to announce the Multan Development Package.

More than 27 thousand colleges, including 38 percent in South Punjab, have been upgraded, according to the CM. Meanwhile, PTI inherited Rs.1300 billion in unfinished projects, which are being completed to benefit the people.

According to the CM, development projects worth 78.72 crore rupees will be completed in Multan as part of the local government development program.
