While Pakistan, a nation of over 220 million people, is experiencing an economic crisis, a view of one of its motorways presents a contrast when commuters are seen throwing cash on it.
The video, which was taken with a handheld camera inside a car, showed a line of double-cab trucks and SUVs driving forward while being showered with cash. The roads were covered in Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 currency bills before Rs. 500 bills were dumped on a busy motorway.
Several employees appeared to rush to gather the notes as a significant amount of cash flew through the air and touched down on the ground.
