Customs Seizes 37 iPhones Worth Rs. 11.5 Million at Lahore Airport

Customs officials at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore have intercepted a smuggling attempt involving 37 iPhones worth Rs11.5 million. The individual, Umar Farooq, was arriving from Sharjah and was arrested for trying to smuggle the iPhones into Pakistan. The smuggling attempt was foiled after receiving a tip-off from Customs Collector Tayyba Kayani.

This incident is part of a series of smuggling attempts that customs authorities have successfully stopped in recent months. In previous months, customs officials seized iPhones and gold from passengers who were attempting to bring them into the country illegally. These seizures highlight the ongoing efforts by customs officials to combat smuggling at the airport.

Smuggling remains a significant issue, and law enforcement agencies are continuously working to prevent illegal items from entering the country.

The recent bust at Allama Iqbal International Airport serves as a reminder of the diligent efforts by the authorities to stop illegal smuggling activities and ensure that customs regulations are enforced.

Authorities are also urging the public to report any suspicious activities to help in the prevention of smuggling.

The success of this operation shows the importance of the coordination between customs officials and the public in ensuring that smuggling operations are disrupted. The case is ongoing, and further investigations are expected.
