Daniyal Shahzad Wins Bronze for Pakistan at 55th International Physics Olympiad

Daniyal Shahzad Hamid, a student at The Science School in Islamabad, has made Pakistan proud by winning a Bronze Medal at the 55th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO). The event was held in France from July 17 to July 25, 2025. His win shows how Pakistani students are making their mark in science competitions around the world.

The entire team from Pakistan did very well at this year’s Olympiad. Muhammad Bilal, who studies at Sundar STEM School in Lahore, was given an Honorable Mention for his good performance. Eiman Fatima, a student from Fazaia Inter College in Rawalpindi, received the special Thales Solidarity IPhO Award. This award comes with a grant of €5,000 and a mentorship program to help her continue her studies and grow in the field of physics.

These awards prove that Pakistan’s young students are full of talent and are ready to compete with the best in the world. They show that with hard work and support, Pakistani students can excel in science and technology on international platforms.

The country’s success at the Olympiad is also a sign that more young people are interested in science and want to do great things in this field. Teachers, schools, and parents are also playing an important role by encouraging students to take part in such global events.

Pakistan hopes to see more young scientists shine in future competitions and make the nation even prouder.
