Day of Arafat! Millions of Pilgrims to Perform Rukn-e-Azm of Hajj 2024 Today

Over 1.5 million Muslim pilgrims have gathered in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage of 2024, which started on Friday with key religious rituals.

Today, the pilgrims will participate in Waqoof-e-Arafa at the Plain of Arafat. This location is significant because it is where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) gave his final sermon.

During the day, the Hajj Sermon will be delivered at Masjid-e-Nimrah and will be translated into 50 different languages to accommodate the diverse group of pilgrims.

After spending time at Arafat, the pilgrims will travel to Muzdalifa. There, they will collect pebbles which will be used for the ritual of stoning the devil’s pillars in Mina.

The pilgrimage will conclude with the celebration of Eid al-Adha. As part of the festivities, pilgrims will perform Qurbani, which involves the sacrifice of an animal.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and is a deeply spiritual journey for Muslims, who come from all over the world to participate in these rites and rituals. This year’s pilgrimage sees a massive gathering, reflecting the importance of this religious duty in the Muslim faith.
