Pakistan’s automobile market showed strong growth in February 2026, with a significant increase in vehicle sales across several categories.
According to data released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), sales of cars, light commercial vehicles, vans, and jeeps reached 17,121 units during the month. This represents a 41.7 percent increase compared to 12,084 units sold in February of the previous year.
The overall performance of the sector has remained positive during the current fiscal year. In the first eight months of FY26, total sales reached 128,489 units, which is about 43.2 percent higher than the same period in FY25.
Industry experts believe that improving consumer confidence and better availability of vehicles have contributed to this growth.
Among major automakers, Toyota recorded strong sales in the 1300cc and above vehicle category. The company sold 3,102 units during the month, leading this segment. Other major manufacturers, including Honda and Suzuki, also reported stable production and sales figures.
Demand for jeeps and pickup vehicles remained strong as well. In some cases, sales even exceeded the number of vehicles produced, indicating high demand from customers.
Motorcycles and three-wheelers continued to play an important role in the country’s automotive sector. During February, production reached 157,543 units, while sales were recorded at 159,512 units. This shows consistent activity and demand in the market.
