Donald Trump Warns Apple 25% Tarrif on iPhones Made in India or Anywhere else Except US

Former US President Donald Trump has asked Apple to start making iPhones in the United States instead of other countries like India. He warned that if Apple keeps producing iPhones outside the US, a 25% tax might be added to those phones when they enter the country.

Trump shared this message on his social media platform, Truth Social, and said that he had already spoken to Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, about this issue. He made these comments during a recent visit to the Middle East, where he raised concerns about Apple’s decision to manufacture iPhones in India for American customers.

Trump believes that iPhones should be made in the USA to support local jobs and the economy. He has often promoted the idea of bringing manufacturing back to the country and reducing dependence on foreign factories.

However, experts say that moving iPhone production to the US would be difficult and expensive. Building the necessary factories, training workers, and setting up the supply chain would take a lot of time and money. As a result, the cost of iPhones might go up for American buyers.

Apple has been shifting some of its production to countries like India and Vietnam to reduce its reliance on China. This is part of a broader strategy to manage risks and lower production costs.

While Trump’s push for local production reflects his focus on American industry, experts believe it won’t be easy for Apple to make such a big change quickly. The company would need to balance political pressure with business realities.
