Driver’s daughter tops Balochistan PSC Exam for Assistant Commissioner

Maria Shimon, the daughter of a Quetta taxi driver, has topped the Balochistan Public Service Commission (PSX) Assistant Commissioner test beyond all odds.

Maria Shimon, a devout Christian, is now resolved to use the achievement as a starting stone toward providing a comfortable life for her parents.

The child told a private news outlet that she was overjoyed to have received first place in the exam. “Despite their limited financial resources, my parents have made every attempt to educate their eight children,” she continued.

Maria expressed her gratitude to her father and mother, who she said never let money stand in the way of her academic goals.

“Without their help and blessings, it would not have been possible.” My parents were always a source of inspiration for me. “I’d now like for my parents, who have done so much for me, to have a comfortable life,” the Christian girl ended.

Parkash Kumar, the son of a poor mason, came first in the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) in Sindh last year and was recognised across the country.
