Dubai Extends Metro Hours for Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day Celebration on August 11

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced extended metro service hours to support visitors attending the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” festival at Expo City Dubai.

On 11 August 2025, the Dubai Metro will run until 2:00 AM to make it easier for people to return home after the celebrations on 10 August.

The festival is being organized to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and promises a full day of cultural activities. Visitors will be able to enjoy live music, traditional dance performances, and a variety of Pakistani food stalls.

A vibrant marketplace will showcase handicrafts, clothing, and other cultural items, offering a glimpse into Pakistan’s heritage.

The event is expected to draw a massive crowd, with over 60,000 people anticipated to take part. Organizers have emphasized that the celebrations are open to everyone, regardless of nationality.

Entry is completely free, although attendees are encouraged to pre-register to ensure smooth access and crowd management.

The “Emirates Loves Pakistan” festival aims to strengthen cultural ties between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, while also giving the large Pakistani community in Dubai an opportunity to celebrate their national day in grand style.

With extended metro services, the RTA is making it more convenient for residents and tourists alike to enjoy the event without worrying about transportation late at night.

This arrangement is expected to contribute to the overall success of the festival, ensuring safe and easy travel for thousands of attendees.
