Dubai Launches Golden Visa Program for Imams, Muezzins, and Islamic Scholars

Dubai has recently announced that it will now offer its Golden Visa, a long-term residency permit, to preachers, imams, muezzins, and Islamic scholars who meet the necessary requirements. The Golden Visa program, which allows individuals to live, work, and study in the UAE for five or ten years without needing a sponsor, has been expanded to include these esteemed professionals, among other categories such as businessmen, investors, doctors, and artists.

Eligible individuals, who must have completed at least 20 years of service in the UAE, will now be able to benefit from the flexibility of the Golden Visa, which allows them to work outside the country for extended periods without affecting their visa status. Moreover, they can also sponsor their family members to join them in the UAE, providing an opportunity for their loved ones to live with them.

Dubai’s inclusion of preachers, imams, muezzins, and Islamic scholars in its Golden Visa program reflects its appreciation for their contributions to society. This expansion enhances the UAE’s appeal as an inclusive destination for religious professionals, showcasing Dubai’s progressive approach in attracting and retaining top talent from diverse backgrounds.
