A Hindu businessman in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Battagram area has won over Muslims’ hearts and is being praised widely for providing a flat 50% discount on all things sold during Ramazan.
He drew customers’ attention with a giant banner displayed in front of his store, “Ram Cloth House,” in the crowded Ajmal Bazar of Battagram City by offering discounts on materials for both men and women.
The offer was made in honour of the holy month of Ramazan to help Muslims who were fasting, according to Jacky Kumar, proprietor of Ram Cloth House and longtime resident of Battagram.
“Every year, during Ramadan, I make a profit of about Rs0.5 to 0.6 million.”
