Earthquake Strikes Multiple Cities Including Peshawar, Islamabad & Rawalpindi

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, sending waves of panic across multiple cities. Tremors were strongly felt in Peshawar and Swat, while residents in Islamabad and Rawalpindi also reported noticeable shaking. People rushed out of homes, offices, and commercial buildings as a precaution, fearing aftershocks.

According to initial seismic reports, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan, at a depth of 73 kilometers. The depth of the quake reduced the likelihood of widespread destruction, and so far, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or structural damage. Authorities continue to monitor the situation, urging citizens to remain calm and follow safety guidelines in case of further seismic activity.
