The average price of a dozen eggs in Pakistan has surged to an unprecedented level, surpassing Rs. 420, according to recent data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
This increase is notable in various cities, with Islamabad, Peshawar, and Faisalabad leading the way at Rs. 420 per dozen.
Sialkot closely follows at Rs. 410, and several other cities, including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Larkana, Multan, Quetta, and Bannu, are also experiencing elevated prices at Rs. 400 per dozen.
Meanwhile, Khuzdar and Sukkur report a relatively lower rate of Rs. 390, and Karachi, Bahawalpur, and Hyderabad note Rs. 380 per dozen. This widespread surge in egg prices is a matter of concern for consumers across the nation.
