Tesla has officially delivered some of its first production Cybertruck models to customers during an event at the Texas Gigafactory.
While CEO Elon Musk didn’t announce the Cybertruck’s prices during the event, they later appeared on Tesla’s website.
The base model is priced at $60,990, the all-wheel-drive option at $79,990, and the high-end “Cyberbeast” version at $99,990.
Musk highlighted the truck’s towing capacity, acceleration, and payload capability during the event, showcasing its performance against a Porsche 911 on a race track and an F-150 in a towing test.
Tesla’s design chief, Franz von Holzhausen, threw a rock at a Cybertruck window during a demonstration, and this time, unlike the 2019 unveiling, the window did not break.
Elon Musk commented, “It’s basically rock-proof,” joking that if someone is in an argument with another car, the Cybertruck driver will win.
This demonstration aimed to showcase the durability of the vehicle’s windows.
The Cybertruck’s unique design and features have generated significant interest since its unveiling four years ago.
