Emergency Declared as Heavy Rain Expected in Sindh Including Karachi

Authorities in Karachi, the biggest city in Pakistan, have announced a local state of emergency because of the upcoming rainy weather, warning people about possible minor flooding.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall with heavy rain and thunderstorms, advising everyone to get ready for it while dealing with the ongoing effects of a western disturbance in the southwest.

Karachi, along with some other cities nearby, is going to get rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms.

The weather office has also warned about isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms during the weekend. Despite the precautions taken, the air quality in Karachi is reported to be “Very Unhealthy.”
