Engro Fertilizers Limited (EFERT) disclosed that after testing base plant performance and based on its assessment, the company is now capable of producing urea up to 950,000 tonnes per year, a notice issued to PSX on Thursday showed.
The company has undertaken various maintenance, debottlenecking, balancing, modernization, and replacement activities to ensure long-term reliability and sustainable safe operations at the base plant.
To note, on September 27, 2022, EFERT commenced maintenance activity at Base Plant 1 (Plant 1) and resumed commercial operations on November 27, 2022, after the successful completion of the maintenance activity undertaken for the long-term reliability and sustainable operations of the plant.
EFERT is engaged in the manufacturing, purchasing, and marketing of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides and providing logistics services.
