Apple debuted the iPhone 13 series in September 2021, with the 120Hz refresh rate LTPO panel on the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, but the vanilla iPhone 13 and 13 Mini models still use the regular 60Hz refresh rate.
According to recent rumours, the 120Hz refresh rate display will be found on the entire future iPhone 14 lineup.
Analyst Jeff Pu stated in a MacRumors report that all iPhone 14 versions will include a 120Hz LTPO ProMotion display.
Apple’s ProMotion display is just the company’s term for its adaptive refresh rate technology.
Depending on the material presented on the screen, ProMotion allows the refresh rate to fluctuate from 120Hz to 10Hz.
A static page will be refreshed at 10Hz, whereas a game will be refreshed at 120Hz. This saves battery life by lowering the refresh rate of the screen when it isn’t in use.
Previously, Pu projected that the iPhone 14 Pro versions would have an enhanced RAM of 8GB, but now, based on supply chain sources, he believes that all four iPhone 14 models will have 6GB of RAM due to cost concerns.
