Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline have agreed to a deal. The agreement enables travelers to fly between Abu Dhabi and Dubai with a single ticket, giving them more travel options. This new partnership eliminates the need to return via the arrival airport. It makes easier to explore Emirates. The airlines will initially focus on attracting visitors from selected European and Chinese points, by developing inbound interline traffic.
At the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, the Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, Adnan Kazim, and the Chief Operating Officer of Etihad Airways, Mohammad Al Bulooki, signed the deal. The President of Emirates Airline, Sir Tim Clark, and the CEO of Etihad Airways, Antonoaldo Neves, were also present.
Sir Tim Clark expressed his satisfaction in working with Etihad Airways. He said that this agreement expands the customer offerings of both airlines, boosting tourism in the UAE.
He also believes that this partnership provides a strong foundation to develop further opportunities between the airlines, demonstrating their commitment to the UAE’s vision for economic diversification.
Antonoaldo Neves, the CEO of Etihad Airways, said that he is delighted to collaborate with Emirates to support inbound tourism to the UAE, making travel to Abu Dhabi and Dubai more convenient.
He also emphasized that the interline agreement allows guests to experience the best of both cities on a single ticket promising an exceptional flying experience, regardless of the airline they choose.
