Ex-Refinery Price of Petrol Reduced by 5.6%

According to an official document, the ex-refinery price of petrol has been reduced by 5.6 percent in 15 days.

According to the documents, the rate of petroleum development levy on petrol remained at Rs 50 per liter, while OMC and dealer margins remained at Rs 6 and Rs 7 respectively. On diesel, the levy is at Rs 50 while the dealer margin remains at Rs 7.

According to official documents, freight margin on petrol was reduced by 36 paise in 15 days. Sales tax is not being collected by the government on petrol yet.

On May 1, the ex-refinery price of petrol per liter was Rs 215, which was Rs 203.26 per liter on May 15. Freight margin on diesel was reduced from Rs4.62 to Rs2.

Oil marketing margin on diesel was also reduced by 25 paise. On May 1, the ex-refinery price of diesel was Rs 229.12 and on May 15, the ex-refinery price of diesel was Rs 192.75.

The ex-refinery price of petrol has been reduced by Rs12 per litre while the ex-refinery price of diesel has been reduced by Rs37 per litre.
