Fast Track! Pakistani Pilgrims to Travel By Haramain Train In Hajj

This modern train line is 453 kilometers long and also connects Jeddah and King Abdullah Economic City. The high-speed train will reduce the travel time between Makkah and Madinah from six to eight hours by bus to less than two and a half hours. This will make the journey much faster, safer, and more comfortable, especially for elderly pilgrims and families.

A total of 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj in 2026. Out of these, 119,210 pilgrims are traveling under the government scheme, while the remaining pilgrims will go through private Hajj operators. The government has introduced this train service as a pilot project to improve travel arrangements for pilgrims.

Under this project, pilgrims will be provided transport from their hotels to the railway stations. A luggage service will also be available so they do not have to carry heavy bags themselves. These facilities are designed to reduce stress and make the journey easier.

All major Hajj preparations are now in their final stage. These include arranging accommodation in Saudi Arabia, organizing transportation, completing required vaccinations, and conducting mandatory Hajj training sessions. Training programs have been held in 107 cities across Pakistan to educate pilgrims about Hajj rituals, safety guidelines, and travel procedures.

The government aims to ensure that Hajj 2026 is well-organized, smooth, and comfortable for all Pakistani pilgrims by introducing better travel facilities and careful planning.
